Greggs vegan sausage rolls sold in Northern Ireland Applegreen stores

They are available in 950 shops at the moment

Heard about the new vegan sausage rolls Greggs are making and intrigued to try them?

Well they aren’t available in every store, and there are only a handful of branches in Northern Ireland you can sample them.

The Applegreen Greggs outlets on the M1 and M2 are listed as stockists of the new vegan sausage rolls.

A spokeswoman for Greggs said: “Our Vegan Sausage Roll is available in 950 shops. Before looking to roll it out further we are keen to gauge customer demand.”

The Quorn-stuffed puff pastry are available in 950 of Greggs’ 1,900 stores across the UK, priced at a bargain £1.

Roger Whiteside, chief executive at Greggs, said: “Like many food retailers we have seen increasing demand for vegetarian and vegan products. We have been trying to develop a vegan version of our famous sausage roll for some time now.

“It has not been easy but our taste panel customers all love this one, so we have decided to launch it as our contribution to Veganuary.”
